Before I continue...

...I wanted to make sure that the people who are reading this blog understand my heart and intent behind sharing these very personal experiences in my life.  And to my family, reading this: I am in no way trying to hurt you. My intent is not to slander or dishonor anyone or any memory of the folks who have passed away including my father.

This is my life: the good, the bad, and the very ugly.  I write to illustrate how alcohol has been a destructive force in my life, my family's and the people I have encountered, from beginning until when I found Jesus.  What has been done to me and what I've inflicted on myself and others is criminal. And yes, as this blog continues, you will see the heinous things I've done.

There are things that I have written and will write that will be shocking.  There are things you will see, that for those who know me, never knew happened.  I don't write to gain sympathy - Please don't feel sorry for me. I write to help bring hope to a broken world by demonstrating through words and my story, the power of Jesus Christ and how He made right all the wrongs in my life.  That while you are still breathing, no matter what your background and past, YOU CAN have a healthy, fulfilling and joyful life, beginning NOW.  It's a tough and grueling process but I promise you, if you trust in Jesus Christ, obey His word (the Bible), and stay committed, you will have victory in your life!

"Do you see what this means—all these pioneers who blazed the way, all these veterans cheering us on? It means we'd better get on with it. Strip down, start running—and never quit! No extra spiritual fat, no parasitic sins. Keep your eyes on Jesus, who both began and finished this race we're in. Study how He did it. Because He never lost sight of where He was headed—that exhilarating finish in and with God—He could put up with anything along the way: Cross, shame, whatever. And now He's there, in the place of honor, right alongside God. When you find yourselves flagging in your faith, go over that story again, item by item, that long litany of hostility He plowed through. That will shoot adrenaline into your souls! - Hebrews 12:1-3 MSG

You listen to God in you and let the Holy Spirit do the rest...i.e. let Him sort out all the reactions of people who read this.
